Pint Defiance is a local woman-owned taproom directly impacted by cancer, like many others. Co-owner Carol had been bravely battling stage 4 kidney cancer for well over ten years with the support of the compassionate providers at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Due to their unwavering commitment to cutting-edge research and innovation, she has defied the odds, surpassing her initial life expectancy of just an 8% chance to live past 5 years after diagnosis. Over a decade later, following numerous research studies and drug trials in which Carol had actively participated to aid Fred Hutchinson in understanding this devastating disease, our ultimate goal remains to find a cure. Carol passed away this year due to cancer. We are asking our local community to come together to support all impacted by this terrible disease and positively impact our community’s future while we honor our loved ones.
