Very few American breweries have done more to expand the modern beer drinker’s palate than New Belgium. With the help of some legends of the Belgium beer scene, they were one of the first to invest in a true foeder (oak fermentation vat) program, and introduced the world to one of the first American Flanders-style sours, La Folie. We’ve got a full calendar of events this April, starting with a heavy hitter. Once only known to the hardcore hop heads, San Diego’s Alpine Beer Company have built a reputation of building some of the most sought-after IPAs on the West Coast. Infamous names such as “Nelson” and “Pure Hoppiness” passed from the lips of seasoned beer travelers and soon Alpine’s name became synonymous with world-class beer.
