On an average day, Americans consume 100 lbs. of chocolate every second--a figure that spikes during this saccharine holiday. We at Pint Defiance think that is nowhere near enough, so we are doing our part with our 4th Annual Chocolate & Beer Event!  We've teamed up again with our friends at Cocoa Tantily to bring you custom unique craft chocolates especially crafted to pair well with some unique craft beer.

This two-day event starts at 11:00 am on Saturday, Feb. 13th.

Since 2011, Portland’s Commons Brewery has been producing small-batch, artisanal, Belgian-inspired farmhouse ales. Their dedication to craft and quality, as well as their fierce independent streak has given rise to some of the city’s most unique and innovative brews that have started to shift craft drinkers away from their safe zone of hoppy brews.

Ballast Point, founded within a homebrew shop, has never been afraid of experimentation. At their tap room in San Diego, CA, one can find all sorts of flavor additions, infusions, and twists on their flagship line of brews. They made waves when they finally started packaging and shipping two variants of their Sculpin IPA—Grapefruit and Habenero—around the country. They are continuing that success in 2016 with many new variants that will be available outside the taproom for the first time.

Steve Luke has been a notable figure in the craft beer scene for over a decade. Even if you don’t know the name, you’ve most definitely enjoyed the man’s beers. For the past 4 years, Steve headed up the sour and wood-aged beer program at Elysian and developed killer IPA recipes like Space Dust.

Steve has cut out on his own to start one of Seattle’s newest and most talked about breweries, Cloudburst Brewing, and we wanted to help launch the new venture here in Tacoma. Join us Wednesday, January 13th, starting at 5pm as we showcase four fresh, new beers from Steve’s new venture.
