Looking for a change from the usual Halloween festivities? Get away from the pint-sized pirates and childish ghouls at Pint Defiance’s Grown-Up Trick-or-Treat Pumpkin Beer Party. Join us Friday, Oct. 31st, starting at 5pm for a scary-fun time. Come in your costume and try some favorite and rare pumpkin beers from Almanac, Bale Breaker, Elysian, 21st Amendment, and more. The first 100 customers to order a pumpkin beer will walk away with a treat bag full of candy, prizes, and beer schwag. We will also be raffling off some cool grand prizes.
Since its founding in 2010, Breakside Brewing has been making waves in the Portland, OR beer scene--an increasingly difficult feat in the craft beer rich Pacific Northwest metropolis. Known for their extensive and ever-growing stable of unique and quality brews, Breakside may hold the record for the highest number of different beers brewed in a year (it released 83 in 2012, 92 in 2011, and 100 in 2013). As Kendall Jones writes in his Washington Beer Blog, “The founders of Pike Brewing (Charles and Rose Ann Finkel) are omnipresent ambassadors of craft beer and for 25 years the tireless two have represented Seattle at beer festivals, brewers conferences, charity fundraisers, and countless other special events.” Pike has spun off numerous brewmasters who have gone on to open their own breweries.
