Sour Brown Vintage Ale Bottle Release with 7 Seas, Wed. Aug. 23rd, 5-7p

Putting beers into barrels seems like a simple proposition, but it requires a lot: money, labor, space, and most importantly—patience. The great barrel managers will tell you that you can’t decide when a beer will be ready, the barrel will decide. With 7 Seas Brewing Co. latest Vintage Ale release, the patience has paid off.

Join us Wednesday, Aug 23rd, starting at 5p, as we host a release party for the brand new 7 Seas 2017 Sour Brown bottles. Aged for two years (2!) in French Oak Bordeaux barrels, this Flanders-style sour brown ale offers a complex nose of tart green apple and stone fruit. A mixed culture of wild yeast produces intriguing flavors of leather, dark fruit skin, and acidity all layered over a gentle maltiness. Dark brown with reddish hues, this sour brown has aged gracefully from its’ rustic origins into a beer of both boldness and refinement. The sour brown will be on tap, and will be the only keg to ever leave the brewery, and bottles will be available to take home. Don’t miss this opportunity to hang with the 7 Seas crew and lift a glass in a toast to patience.

Pint Defiance Collaboration Stay-cation, Sat. Aug 19th, @3pm

Teamwork makes the dream work. In the ever more competitive and crowded world of craft beer, one might think that a “survival of the fittest” instinct might kick in. But in beer, it is just the opposite: more breweries nearby means more brewers with which to collaborate, exchange ideas, and share beer. There is a collaboration fest in Seattle this weekend, but for those of you in the South Sound, we bring you our mini-beerfest “Collaboration Staycation,” a celebration of the collaborative spirit of craft beer. We will be tapping kegs of beers that came from the melding of minds, and the sharing of years of brewing knowledge and experience, including collab beers fromAnchorage Brewing Company & Grassroots Brewing (Hill Farmstead Brewery), Bale Breaker Brewing Company & Georgetown Brewing, Georgetown & Redhook BreweryAirways Brewing Company & Pint Defiance, & Sierra Nevada & Faust Brauerei Miltenberg! Be here Saturday, August 19th, starting at 3pm as we propose a toast to teamwork.

Brewer’s Night with TRVE Brewing, Thurs. Aug. 10th, 5-7p

Denver’s true heavy metal brewery has been turning out awesome mixed culture and sour beers since Summer Solstice of 2011. TRVE Brewing's beers may or may not exactly adhere to any particular guidelines – they’re style blasphemers and category agnostics – but you can count on the fact that it is always damn good.

Join us Thursday, August 10th, from 5 to 7p as we dedicate a night to metal, oak, and the dark arts of brewing. We will be tapping up some rad brews from TRVE, including Buried Sun Mixed Culture French Farmhouse, Solid Hex Watermelon Saison, Cured Mixed Culture Pale Ale, and Possession No Coast Hoppy Saison. No goat sacrifices necessary to get your claws around some awesome brews on this auspicious night. Don’t miss it or the dark lord will curse you.

Georgetown "Medwards" Night, Wed. Aug. 9th, 5-7p

Even if you don’t know the man’s name, you’ve most certainly enjoyed the fruits of Georgetown Brewing’s Matt Edwards. The brain behind the Gold Medal Winning Bodhizafa IPA has been churning groundbreaking, innovative beers for years, and we feel it’s necessary to give credit where credit is due.

Join us Wednesday, August 9th, from 5 to 7pm as we host an entire night dedicated to our friend Matt. We will be tapping up three IPAs straight out of his R&D brewery: June IPA, and two others so new they don’t have names yet. Come and meet the Georgetown crew, and drink great beer.

Wednesday, August 9, 2017 - 05:00 to 19:00
